The Internet offers a wide array of sites that offer writers the opportunity to post their work and earn money for it.   To the individual brand new at venturing into the world of online writing, there are usually questions about whether or not a site is “legitimate”, how much a writer can earn, and whether a writer needs to know more than just how to write.

The truth is there is quite a bit of opportunity in online writing, but there can also be quite a bit of disappointment.   For the most part, being successful writing online requires a little more knowledge than just how to write.  At the same time, the person who brings only his ability to write to one of the many writing sites can  pick up what he may need to learn fairly easily.

The aim of Word Wise is to help introduce readers to some of the ways to turn  writing skill into earnings.  I won’t lie to you - I’m not earning a full-time income writing online.    What I have seen, however, is that if I put in the time and effort into trying to earn a full-time income it would be possible to accomplish that aim.

I wanted to share with readers some of the things I’ve learned over my two or so years of writing online, as well as some of my experiences as the road on which I continue to travel lead me to knew observations and experiences, as well as the occasional dead end.
